2010, In general one could say that this album is made up of the best Songs Dio has never written. What you get here is Heavy Metal at its best. Stylistic I would place the album somewhere between their debut OF THE SON AND FATHER and their most recent album NEW REVELATION. Those guys definitely know their craft and it really shows on this album. This album has everything that the heart of a metalhead in search for music like it was made in the 80s can desire! There are fast, driving songs like ,,Rainbow Warrior" or ,,Greenfield Of Life", heavy metal anthems like ,,Testament Of Rock" or ,,Anthem Of The Dark" and also songs that are almost bluesy like ,,Call Of The Wild". You can't say that this album is monotonous and with its 14 songs you also get value for the money.
